Viola On-Site Voice Data Collection - Hyderabad

We are currently looking for people to participate in our Viola study in Hyderabad, India.
What is the study about?
This voluntary study aims to collect voice recordings that will be used to improve voice recognition technologies for virtual assistants.
Task Description:
You will participate in a recorded conversation with another participant while wearing a pair of earbuds. The discussion will be guided with prompts and designed to simulate natural, real-world interactions. You may be asked to engage in open-ended discussions or share your opinions on everyday topics such as shopping, weather, and similar subjects.
As the recordings are conducted in pairs, participants are encouraged to join the study with a friend, family member, or another conversation partner. Those who join with someone they know will be prioritized during scheduling.
Who is eligible?
To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Have idiomatic fluency in English (India) or Hindi (India).
- Be able to visit our premises in Hyderabad, India for a scheduled session onsite.
- Be willing to participate in a recorded conversation with another participant as part of the session.
Where is the study taking place?
This is an onsite study taking place at our premises in Hyderabad. Our office is centrally located for easy access. The full address will be provided once appointments are scheduled.
When is the study taking place?
The study will take place from mid-June to early July 2026.
How much is the compensation?
You will receive $55 USD for the successfully completed session. As payment methods we offer PayPal, Gift Card and Wire Transfer, according to your preference.
How long does it take?
It will take up to 2,5 hours to complete the recording session.
